DAKOTA SERVICE

CHANGE TO CIVIL CONTROL P.A. , WELLINGTON, May 27. On Monday next the RNZAF interisland Dakota service will come to an end, and the National Airways Corporation will take up the running with DC3 machines, with transverse seating instead of the fore and aft bucket seats. The first conversions are not complete, but those to follow will be up to full civil standard, with sound-proofing and other extras. For a start, the trunk service under corporation control will, be of four flights daily. One flight each way between Auckland and Christchurch will be non-stop, and one up and down plane will call at Paraparaumu.
