Barnett, arrived in Dunedin yesterday morning on a business visit. He will give a talk to local cricketers in the Young Men’s Christian Association Hall to-morrow night. A number of films of the sport will be screened. Sir William R. Williams, High Chief Ruler of the Independent Order of Rechflbites and a former Lord Mayor of Cardiff, will arrive in Dunedin from the north this afternoon. He will be accompanied by Lady Williams. Arrangements have been made for a civic reception to be tendered to them in the City Council Chambers at 11 o'clock to-morrow morning after morning tea with the Mayor, Mr Cameron. The visitors will be the guests of the Mayor in a drive around the city to-morrow afternoon. They will be present at a special meeting of members of the Independent Order of Rechabites to-morrow night, and will leave Dunedin on Friday morning. Passengers who left by air for the north yesterday were Mr P. P. Warrick, Mr J. Sloman (Christchurch), Mr R. L. Sutcliffe, Mrs A. C. Holden, Mr and Mrs W. Oliver, Miss N. Vernon, Miss D. Bunbury, Mr W H. Boyes, Mr E. A. Jeffs (Wellington), Mr L. Hickson, Miss E. Clark, Miss N. Kirk (Auckland). Those who left for the south were Mr H. W. Hunter, Mr and Mrs F. Winter, Mr J. P. Estall, Mr L. S. Dyer and Miss V. Casey. Passengers who arrived from the north were Mr D. Coates, Mr and Mrs W. Bell, Mr W L. Coxhead, Mr and Mrs L. Johnson, Miss V. Wilson, Mr S. J. Baker, Mr Paul, Mr M. Toms, Mr D. E. Jennings, Mr H. Thomson and Mr H. Townsend.
