NOTICE OF INTENTION TO STRIKE GENERAL, HOSPITAL, LIGHTING, SANITATION RATES IN THE BOROUGH OF KAITANGATA, viz:— NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that. the Kaitangata Borough Council pursuant to the powers vested in it by the Municipal Corporations Act 1933 and all other powers enabling it in that behalf will at the meeting of the Council to be held in the Municipal Chambers, Water street, Kaitangata, on WEDNESDAY, the 4th day of JUNE, 1947, at 7 p.m. MAKE AND LEVY the following Rates and Fees for the period commencing on the Ist day of April, 1947, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1948. viz:— s a. A GENERAL Rate under Section 77 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1933 of TWOPENCE (2d) in the Pound (£), upon the Capital Value of the Rateable property as appearing on the Government Valuation Roll for the time being in force in the Borough of Kaitangata. b. A SEPARATE RATE to be known as .the Hospital and Charitable Aid Rate under authority of. Section 52 of the Hospital and Charitable Institutions Act 1926 of ONE HALFPENNY (id) in the Pound (£) upon the Capital Value of the Rateable Property as appearing on the Government Valuation Roll for the time being in force in the Borough of Kaitangata. A. SEPARATE RATE known as the Street Lighting Rate under Section 89 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1933 on the equivalent to the product of a RATE of SIXPENCE (6d) in the Pound (£) . on the Annual Value, the Annual Value being 6 per cent, of the Capital Value pursuant to Section 93C 'Of of the Rating Act 1925. A SANITATION FEE under Section 90 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1933 of TWENTY-SEVEN SHILLINGS AND SIXPENCE (27s 6d) per pan for the removal of night soil on all the premises within the Borough of Kaitangata to which such service is given.
