THEFT OF WHISKY

LOSS OF £4BO INVOLVED BOND STORE PLUNDERED p.A. CHRISTCHURCH, May 26. Thirty-two cases of whisky, and possibly more, each containing a dozen bottles, were stolen from the Universal bond store, between Friday night and Saturday morning, by thieves who used a truck to cart the plunder away A conservative estimate is that the whisky would be worth at least £1 5s a bottle, which would make the value of the consignment stolen £4BO.
