WORLD PEACE AND SECURITY WORK OF UNITED NATIONS P.A. WELLINGTON, Mar. 10. The Dominion Council of the United Nations Association has rceeived advice from the New York office of the World Federation of the United Nations Association that Mr Emile J. Acker, deputy secretary-general of the federation, now on a tour of Southern Europe, was received in private audience at the Vatican. Pope Pius expressed great interest in the federation, ;and bestowed his blessing on its work for world peace and security through the United Nations.. Mr Acker, who before the war. was assistant secretary of the International Peace Campaign, served with his wife in the Belgian “underground” and later fought as a major in the Belgian Armv in Italy. He was also in charge of the repatriation of Belgian subjects from Germany and Eastern Europe. <
