NEW ZEALANDERS FAIL AT FINISH (Rec. 8 p.m.) SYDNEY, Jan. 5. After sharing the lead in the Peter Moore Handicap at Moorefield in the early stages, the New Zealanders Hiraji and Immediate filled third and fourth positions. Hiraji was second early and led from the half-mile to the home turn. Immediate was leading at six furlongs and second at the home turn.. Nepean River and Titanic took the main placings.
