PROPERTY IN GERMANY

DISPOSSESSION BY NAZIS ARRANGEMENTS FOR CLAIMS (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Oct. 4. Mr Jones -announced to-day, as Acting Minister in charge of the Public Trust Office, that arrangements had been made enabling residents of New Zealand with claims in respect to property in all zones of Germany of which they were dispossessed by Nazi persecution or discrimination to forward their claims to Germany through official channels. Persons who have already written to the custodian of enemy property regarding such claims should now complete the forms available from the Public Trust Office. The arrangement applies only to claims arising from Nazi persecution or discrimination, and may be lodged by aliens or naturalised British subjects, but it is emphasised that the custodian is concerned only with enabling claimants to record their claims with the appropriate German authorities.
