THE MAREO CASE

(From Our Parliamentary Reporter) WELLINGTON. Oct. 3. The petition of Canon W. W. Averill and others praying for an inquiry into the circumstances of the case of Enco Mareo was withdrawn in the House of Representatives to-day. The Statutes Revision Committee had recommended this course, as the member presenting the petition had requested leave to withdraw it.
