REGRADING EFFECTS

THE PUBLIC SERVICE SEVERAL IMPROVEMENTS INCORPORATED (P.A.) * WELLINGTON, Oct. 3. Several improvements from the point of view of members of the public service have been incorporated in the regrading classification, said the general secretary of the Public Service Association. Mr J. Turnbull, to-day. The association would, of course, hear complaints from numbers of individuals, but it would be some time before the organisation could say whether the re-' grading conformed to the principles desired or gave satisfaction to the public service as a whole. Mr Turnbull said the fact that the degree of consultation with the association had been very much greater than ever before was one cause for satisfaction in the regrading. This circumstance alone was reassuring to the public service.
