COMMUNITY SING

To-morrow will be Daffodil Day at the community sing, which will be held in the Strand Theatre, commencing at 12.1 a p.m. Proceeds will ,be in aid of the Plunket Society’s funds, and donations mav be sent to Mr J. F. Hlmburg. care Charles Begg and Co., Ltd., or telephoned to the Strand (13-3791. Daffodils will be on sale at the sing. Mrs H. Carty. who has just returned from England after an absence of several years, will be the guest performer, and will sing ” Danny Boy, Mary of Argvle," and " Little Old Garden.” The committee have received a Hohner double-sided mouth organ, and also some beautiful 1947 calendars, which will be offered for sale. Mr H. P. Desmoulins will be the leader, with Mr A. H. Pettitt at the piano. Flowers, jams, and other gifts are acceptable for the stall.
