FAIR, WITHHOLD TEMPERATURES Forecast for Otago.—The following official weather forecast for Otago, covering the ensuing 24 hours, was issued at 9 p.m. yesterday by the Meteorological Office In Wellington:— Situation.—There is a depression to the south-east of the South Island, and an anti-cyclone over the Tasman. Forecast to 5 p.m. To-day.—Moder-ate south-west winds, fresh at times near the coast; weather fair to cloudy; temperatures rather cold. Further Outlook. —Fair. t Weather in Dunedin.—With the exception of a short period in the evening, the sky was overcast throughout yesterday and a heavy downpour at mid-day was followed by lighter showers during the remainder of the day.
