DEPUTATION TO COUNCIL A deputation comprising Messrs W.M. Uttley, R. Stagg, and T. It. Beatty waited on the Borough Council last night to voice the views of the Progress League concerning playing areas. Mr Uttley explained the project for the development and expansion of Takaro Park, the completion of King George's Park, and the development of Reserve C, and he pointed out that it was not expected that the cost should be paid out of rates.
