RAILWAY SEAT RESERVATIONS Provisions For Advance Booking To the extent of accommodation available, passengers may reserve seats and sleeping berths up to seven days ahead of travel date. An extra two days (instead of one day, as formerly) to cover transmission of correspondence regarding their reservations is now allowed non-residents off towns from which the required trains commence their journey, the advance booking margin in such cases being now nine days.
