Firing of Salvo
In each of the four main centres the army authorities have arranged for a salvo of 21 guns to-day. The area commander, Colonel S. M. Satterthwaite, announced yesterday that the salvo in Dunedin would be fired from the Oval at 11 o’clock this morning. Residents in the area are asked to open the top and bottom windows of their houses in order to obviate the possibility of any damage by blast.
