To enable as many members of the railway staffs as possible to take part in the celebrations, train services were reduced to a minimum. The through expresses will run to-day in both directions, and so far as the suburban services are concerned trains will leave Dunedin for Mosgiel at 7.13 a.m. and 5.15 p.m., and trains will run from Mosgiel to Dunedin at 8.11 a.m. and 6.15 p.m. Trains for Port Chalmers will leave Dunedin at 8.15 a.m. and 5.15 p.m., while trains for Dunedin will depart from Port Chalmers at 8.13 a.m. and 5.10 p.m. .
