DRAWN MATCH AT LORD’S FINE BOWLING BY BADCOCK LONDON, June 7. The one-day match at Lord’s between New Zealand and a Lord’s eleven was drawn. The Lord’s eleven was dismissed for 219. Badcock was responsible for a grand bowling performance. At the luncheon adjournment his figures were: 25 overs, 11 maidens, 3 wickets for 31 runs, and his full figures were: 40 overs, 14 mqidens. 6 wick ts for 69 runs. His victims included Edrich, Fishlock, Allen, and Carr. The New Zealand team had scored 178 for seven when the game ended. Dempster made 69, Blunt 73, Morgan 3, Donnelly 0, Sage 3, Sharp 0, Badcock 0, Barker (not out) 10, and Jacobs (not out) 6. The Press Association says Badcock provided a lesson In the art of bowling. He bowled throughout an innings for three hours and 20 minutes. ” For a man who is 47 this was an exceptional performance,” says the Press Association.
