OBITUARY

MR ALFRED PUTTICK The death occurred at Oamaru on Friday last of a highly-respected citizen, Mr Alfred Puttick, who had resided In the district for the last 40 years. Born in Timaru in 1892, he was the fifth son of the late Mr and Mrs J. P. Puttick, West Beijt, Oamaru. Returning from the 191418 "war suffering from the effects of gas, Mr Put.ick did not enjoy good health. He was of a bright disposition, and was most generous. He was a member of St. Luke’s Church, a past grand master of the M.U.1.0.0.F. Lodge, and a member of the Oamaru Jockey Club. He is survived by three sisters—Misses E. and L. Puttick and Mrs William Matchers (all of Oamaru)—and three brothers—John (Auckland), George (Oamaru), and Edward (Wellington).
