PROBABLY SHOT BY NAZI

HITLER'S DEATH ARRANGEMENT (Rec. 11 p.m.) LONDON, May 19. Gerhardt Herrgesell, the shorthand writer who recorded Hitler’s most intimate meetings since 1842, told correspondents at Berchtesgaden it is likely that Colonel Guensche, the S.S. adjutant in charge of the underground chancellery in its last hours, killed Hitler—with Hitler’s knowledge. Herrgesell declared that Guensche’s specific assignment was to kill Hitler, dispose of the body in such a way that the Russians could not possibly find it, and then turn the gun on himself.
