TARRAS STOCK SALE

The yarding for the Tarras stock sale comprised about 3000 sheep, consisting principally of annual draft ewes and lambs. All lots met with a ready sale and a good clearance resulted. Most of the yardings were purchased locally, although outside competitors secured thenusual share of the offering. Quofations: Mixed-sex crossbred lambs, Os to 16s; wether lambs, 14s; ewe lambs, 17s to 225; cull lambs, 7s to 10s; halfbred breeding ewes (good line), to 18s; others, 13s to 15s; best two-tooth ewes, to 245: full-mouth ewes, 14s to 16s; full and failing-mouth ewes, 5s to 11s; merino ewes. 7s to 10s.
