MOTOR ACCIDENT

Frederick Taverner, of Oamaru, received head and neck injuries when the car in which he was travelling as a passenger capsized over the bank at the top of Coalpit Hill, on the Ngapara-George-town road, on Wednesday afternoon. Mr Taverner was brought to the Oamaru Hospital by Mr J. O’Brien, of Ngapara, and his condition last night was reported to be satisfactory. The car, which was driven by Mr D. L. Garvan, apparently skidded in loose metal. The driver and the other passenger, Mr B. Marshall, were not injured.
