FLUSHING’S BIG GUNS

SILENCED BY LANCASTERS RUGBY, Oct. 22. All four big guns near Flushing stopped firing during an attack by Lancasters yesterday morning, according to reports from the Canadian First Army. They have not fired again, according to the latest information. These guns had kept up persistent harassing fire, and were a serious impediment to the operations of the Canadian Armv, Bomber Command was asked to deal with them yesterday, and in unfavourable weather at once sent out the Lancasters.
