The first race at Gore will start at 12.30 p.m. The Defaulter—Disdain gelding has been named Detain. Fair Trial has come into favour for the President's Handicap to be run at Gore. Whackie is reported to be in good racing shape for his engagements at Trentham.

Hearth holds two engagement* at Gore, and at her best would be dangerous in her selected race.

Sir Bradbury and Salmi were responsible for a good gallop over five furlongs at Awapuni on Tuesday. Kaitoa and Alethea were reaponsible for the best six furlongs put up at Awapuni on Tuesday. Official attention is drawn to rule 156, which provides that all changes of ownership must be notified within 14 days. Failure to notify may lead to disqualification or a fine.
