PALMERSTON SALE
The stock sale at Palmerston yesterday attracted an entry of 132 head of cattle and 1500 sheep. Competition was keen for good-conditioned lambs, which sold well. Medium grades were not wanted to the same extent. The yarding of cattle, which contained some extra well-bred young steers and heifers, met with a good demand, prices comparing more than favourably with recent sales.
