NEW ZEALAND CHAMPIONSHIPS (P.A.) WANGANUI, Jan. 26. The North v South Island croauet match, played here to-day, resulted in a win for North. ■ Mrs Watkins (Hastings) beat A. J. Ross (Christchurch) 22—18. F. C. Bryan (Hutt) beat Colonel Beamish (Christchurch) 26—19. • C. La Roche (Dune Hill, Wanganui) beat R. McCreath (Gore) 26—24.; _ , D. McClymont (Wanganui) beat H. A. Penn (Christchurch) 26—20. Mrs Lange (Hastings) beat Mrs A. Clark (Christchurch) 26—22. Mrs Cole (Auckland) beat Mrs Penn (Christchurch) 26—14. * ; The semi-finals in the Open . Championship will be played to-morrow between La Roche (Wanganui) and McClymont (Wanganui), and between Colonel Beamish (Christchurch) and Mrs Cole (Auckland). The semi-finals in the Womens Championship will .be between Mrs Watkin and Mrs' Lange, both of Hastings. The other semi-finalists have not yet been found.
