FIRE BRIGADE CALLS

The City Fire Brigade answered a call at 116 pm. yesterday to a gorse fire at Burnside, and at 3.34 p.m. it was summoned to a grass fire near the gasworks in Anderson’s Bay road. The damage in each case was negligible. At 2*13 p.m. brigades were sent to Larnach s road, Anderson’s Bay, where the detached washhouse of a house owned and occupied bv Mr S Robertson was completely destroyed the cause apparently being a spark from the washhouse copper.
