“IMPRISONED FRANCE”

GENERAL GIRAUD’S PROMISE (Rec. 7 p.m.) LONDON, Feb. 3. General Giraud, in a broadcast message to “ imprisoned France.” expressed his absolute confidence in a German defeat.

“ Our men in Tunisia,” he said, “ are showing the enemy that they know how to fight and that they want to fight. The army of Africa has regained its spirit. It will come to your liberation. That I promise you. Try to help it with all your patience, efficiency, and confidence.”
