GERMANS ARRESTED

RAIDS ON UNITED STATES (Rec. 10.30 p.m.) NEW YORK, Feb. 3. The Federal Bureau of Investigation has arrested a personal friend of Herr Hitler, Gottfried Karl Hein, aged 39, a former leader of the GermanAmerican Bund in San Francisco, and his companion, Augusta Clauss. The authorities also arrested six Germans and one Italian after 43 raids in New Jersey. One of the Germans told the Federal Bureau of Investigation that ha was selected to control American industry when Herr Hitler won the war. The Italian, who is a member of the Fascist Party, was previously in the party’s industrial branch.
