DAILY INTERCESSION

Our fathers trusted in Thee: They trusted, and Thou didst deliver them.

O God, we put our trust in Thee, Who wast our fathers’ God. We thank Thee for our preservation as a people. Grant that we may be a people for Thine own inheritance. Fit us that we may worthily fill our place in Thy gregt purpose for the world and do what in us lies to fulfil the desires and prayers of those who before us hoped in Thee and trusted in Thy mercy. Be near to us in our time of conflict and sorrow, as Thou was to them, and think upon us according to Thy mercy. O Thou, Who bringest good out of evil, grant that these sorrow-laden years may issue in_ a truer purpose and a deeper faith among men. Amen.
