VICE-PRESIDENT’S CUP The following are the results of the 50 Yards Freestyle in the Vice-president’s Cup Race: —First heat: Miss S. Allington 1, V. Smith 2, Dobson 3. Second heat: Miss D. V. J. Smith 1, R. McCone 2, G. Pringle 3. Final: Miss S. Allington 1, Dobson 2, Miss D. V. J. Smith 3. Next Saturday the Oamaru Swimming Club will hold its first carnival of the season. Chief interest will be centred in the three events for the primary school shield, which was won by the South School last year. In addition, races for the Herbert Smith Cup and the club championships will be held.
