ASHTON.—On January 27, 1943 (suddenly). at his residence, 78 Helensburgh road, Wakari, 9/1646 Private William Mudge Ashton, Ist N.Z.E.F (also C.S.M. National Military Reserve), beloved husband of ..Gladys May Ashton; in his fortyeighth year. Deeply mourned.—The Funeral will leave the residence on Friday, the 29th inst., at 11 a.m., for the Anderson’s Bay Cemetery.—Hope and Kinaston, funeral directors.
SMITH. —On January 26 (suddenly), at her residence, 15 High street, Musselburgh, Annie Louise, beloved wife of the late Robert Smith.—The Funeral will leave the above address at 10.30 a.m. Today 1 (Thursday), January 28. SMITH.— On January 27, 1943 (the result of an accident), at Dunedin, John, dearly beloved husband of Flora McDonald Smith, of 8 Islington street, North-East Valley (formerly, of Brydone, Southland); aged 58 years. Deeply mourned. —The Funeral will leave our Chapel, 78 St. Andrew street, on Friday, the 29th inst., at 2 p.m. (service at 1.45 p.m.), for the Anderson’s Bay Cemetery.—Hope and Kinaston, funeral directors.
