ADMISSION OF FRAUD

COMPANY DIRECTOR’S OFFENCE (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Jan. 26.

Five charges of fraudulently misappropriating moneys subscribed throughout New Zealand for the exploitation of Dominion raw materials for the manufacture of luminous paint were admitted in the Magistrate’s Court today by Leonard Bowley Bolton-Moss, aged 46, a company director, who was recently extradited from Australia The total amount subscribed was £9146 10s, of which £6938 19s 6d was owing to subscribers, but the amount involved in the charges against BoltonMoss was only £IO6O. In a statement to the police, the accused admitted misappropriation of the moneys subscribed, all of which, he said, had been used. He had had no intention of fraud when the company was floated. The accused was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
