The annual meeting of the Dunedin Central branch of the Women’s Christian Temperance Union was held on Tuesday. Mrs Hiett presided, and Sister Elinor conducted the devotions. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows:—President, Mrs Hiett: vice-presidents—Mesdames Garden, Cunningham. Ballantyne, and Sister Elinor; corresponding secretary, Mrs A. Maxwell; recording secretary, Mrs Jackson; hon. treasurer. Miss F. Mcandrew; hon. pianist Mrs F. Clarke: superintendents of departments—Birthday League, Mrs Bain; Bible in Schools, Mrs A. Maxwell; headquarters funds, Mrs Cunningham; sales tables, Mrs Rigby; White Ribbon. Mrs Miller: press, Mrs K. Downing.
