COFFEE IN AUSTRALIA
RATIONING UNLIKELY (N.Z.P.A. Special Aust. Correspondent) (Rec 1 a.m.) CANBERRA. July 15. “Australia has enough coffee to last three months and at the present rate of shipments rationing may not be needed,” stated the Minister of Supply. Mr J, A. Beasley, It is estimated that civilian slocks at the end of June were 1,500,0001 b. Orders had been placed to maintain the average imports since 1938 (6.759.0001 b). Coffee for United States troops is independently supplied by the United States Government.
