NORTHERN NORWAY
NAVAL AND AIR BASES CONSTRUCTION BY ENEMY (Rec. 10.30 p.m.) RUGBY, July 14. Information has reached the Norwegian authorities in London that Tromso, in Northern Norway, has been made into a naval base for harassing Allied convoys going to Russia. The Germans have also converted Narvik. Trondheim, and Bergen into naval bases for this purpose. Numerous airfields are also being built in Northern Norway.
