Thames street, Oamaru, on FRIDAY. July 24. 1942. at 11 a.m.. to make and levy the following Rates;— A General Rate under Section 120 " Counties Act, 1920,” of one penny and seven-thirty-seconds of one penny in the pound on the rateable value on the basis of the capital value of all rateable property appearing on the Valuation Rolls of the County of Waitaki. A Special Rate under section 12 “ Counties Act, 1920,” of one-fiftieth of one penny in the pound on all rateable property situated in the Ahuriri, Awamoko, and Otekaike Ridings of the said County. A Special Rate under section 12 “ Counties Act, 1920,” of 2.33 d in the pound on all rateable property situated in the Kurow Water Supply Rating District. A Separate Water Rate under Section 32 “ Municipal Corporations Act, 1933.” within the Kurow Water Supply rating area as follows: — A, Upon all land and buildings to which water is supplied:— 1. When the annual value on the Valuation Roll does not exceed £l2 10s a rate of 10s per annum. 2. When such annual value exceeds £l2 10s in respect of;— (a) Private dwellings a rate of 4 per cent, of such value. (b) Other premises a rate of 1J per cent, of such value. Provided that in no case shall the rate for ordinary supply be less than 10s per annum. B. Upon all land and buildings to which water can be. but is not. supplied, situated within 100 yards of any part or the water works, a rate of one-half of the rates above-mentioned, with a minimum of ss. Water charges under By-law No. 18. as follows:
Papakaio Subdivision, ten pence per acre on Class "A” land. Steward Settlement Subdivision, fivepence half-penny per acre on Class “A” land; twopence half-penny per acre on Class “ B ” land. The above Rates and Charges shall be due and payable in one sum on the Thirtieth day of AUGUST, 1942. and payment thereof shall be made at the County Council Chambers, Thames street, Oamaru.
