BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONAL WOMEN
The fortnightly meeting of the Dunedin Business and Professional Womens Club was held in Tudor Hall on Monday. The president, Miss Vera Hayward, dealt with various matters of business and then introduced the speaker for the evening, Miss Andrews, of New Plymouth. Miss Andrews, who had represented Dunedin three times at the Pan-Pacific Conference, spoke on some of the social promems discussed at these conferences, problems some of which did not appear to affect New Zealand at the moment, yet were actually the concern of this country, too because, as Miss Andrews said, "Tile wellbeing of countries is indivisible.” Miss Andrews’s timely advice to business and professional women as to their duty towards the younger generations was appreciated. Miss M. Hensley proposed a vote of thanks on behalf of the club.
