OTAGO LAND BOARD

MONTHLY MEETING The monthly meeting of the Otago Land Board, which was held yesterday, was attended by Messrs W. E. Shaw (chairman), J. S. Adams, W. A. Scaife, G. W. Stuart, and C. J. Inder. An application was received for consent to a change of tenant of a mining reserve block. St. Balhans S.D., 400 acres. It was resolved that the tenancy shall be in the names of C. G. Davies. P. Davies, D. Jones, O. Jones, A. McGregor, J. B. Morgan, H. Swlnney, and J. Swinney. Approval of M.L. 4176 over islands in the Waitakl River (Awamoko portion), in the names of Messrs S. Carylon, T. Dromgoole, M. Francis, G. Macaulay, J. O’Leary, and M. Twiss, was granted. It was resolved to cancel M.L. 3367 and 4192 as at May 12, 1942, and to grant H. Barker the right to occupy sections 4 and 6, block VIII, town of Moeraki, area 3r 14p, from May 13, 1942. It was resolved, in terms of section 22 (2) of the Education Reserves Act. 1928, and section 147 of the Land Act, 1924, that J. C. Painter be granted a right to occupy section 5, block XLII. town of Hawkesbury, from year to year. Under the same authority, John Dick was granted a right to occupy section 9, block 11, town of Hampden', from year to year. G. C. Scott applied for permission to occuov. under temporary tenancy, section 6, block XIII, town of Havelock, 2a. 3r. 13p„ formerly held under O.L. by Mrs Louisa Henry.—The application was granted from year to year in terms of section 147 of the Land Act, 1924.
