U-BOAT VICTIMS
TWO MERCHANTMEN GULF OF MEXICO SINKINGS (Rec. 7 p.m.) WASHINGTON, May 10. The Navy Department announced that one United States and one Honduran merchantman were torpedoed and sunk in the Gulf of Mexico. There were no casualties. These are the first attacks that Axis submarines have made in the Gulf of Mexico.
