ANNUAL MEETING The annual meeting of the North Otago Agricultural and Pastoral Association held yesterday. There were present: Messrs A. H. Copland (in the chair), W. Macdonald, R. B. Meek, W. Doig, J. A C. McKenzie, D. Malcolm, J. Tlsdall. George Stevenson, S. Gillies, W. T. Hamilton, W. R. Macaulay, G. S. Pringle, C. H. Smith, D. Stumbles, A. McDonald, C. J. Cowan.

The annual report and balance sheet were adopted. The election of officers resulted as follows President, Mr A. H. Copland; vicepresident, Mr A. Macaulay; treasurer, Mr E. B. Brewster; auditor, Mr D. V; G. Smith; committee—Messrs H. J. Andrew, W. E. Aubrey, W. Cameron. D. Cant, A. H. Chapman. C. J. Cowan, W. Doig. C. E. Dunstan, S. Gillies, W. T. Hamilton. James Kingan, W. MacDonald. D. Malcolm, A. McDonald, J. A. C. McKenzie, R. B. Meek, T. Portis, G. S. Pringle. G. Simpson, James Simpson, C. H. Smith, G. Stevenson. D. Stumbles, and J. Tlsdall. Mr Meek referred to the great service given to the association by the president (Mr A. H. Copland), the vice-president fMr W. R. Macaulay), and the treasurer (Mr E. S. Brewster) on the occasion of the last annual show. Thanks were also extended to Mr B. Paton (Papakaio) for contribution of a bale of straw for the show. • Reference was made by Mr Meek to Home Guard camps at the Show Grounds He asked' whether they had applied for permission from the association. He said the Home Guard might at least have requested formal permission. Mr A. McDonald expressed the opinion that the A. and P. Association should be very glad to assist the Home Guard in any way.
