ROUTE THROUGH PERSIA BRANCH LINE COMPLETED (Rec. 7 p.m.) NEW DELHI. May 9. A new branch line of the transPersian Railway has just been completed between Ahwaz and Mohammerah, which means that Mohammerah is now available for British and American supplies to Russia in addition to the Bandar Shahpur route.

On November 27 the Persian Gpvcrhment announced the construction of a 72-mlle rail link between Ahwaz. on the trans-Persian Railway, and the Persian Gulf port of Khorramshah, thereby relieving the strain on Bandar Shahpur and providing an alternative port of entry for supplies to Russia.
