ANTI-BRITISH HOSTILITY IN TANGIER (Roc. 11.15 p.m.) LONDON, Feb. 8. According to the Tangier correspondent of The Times, the anti-British hostility is being fomented, apparently with the consent of the authorities. The Spanish police are also spreading the report that the British were responsible for the explosion on the wharf. At a mass meeting of Moors inflammatory anti-British leaflets were distributed under the eyes of the police, who did not resist the attack on the British post office and on other British premises, which were damaged. The Union Jack was burned in a public square. The whole affair was well organised under the leadership of wellknown German agents. The British Consul-general Mr A. D. F. Gascoigne, is lodging a strong protest with the commander of the Spanish forces, General Uriate.
