PLANNING BY TOKIO WASHINGTON, (Rec. 11.30 p.m.) Feb. 8. Tokio reports tbat Japan is considering the abolition of extra-territorial rights in China .as the next step to closer collaboration between China and Japan. According to a statement by the Japanese Foreign Minister, Admiral Togo, action is being taken very soon, but the interests of Japanese nationals in China will be specially considered. Eighty-nine factories and businesses which the Japanese Army took over in North China and Central China have been returned to their Chinese owners, , Admiral Togo added that the Japanese will soon negotiate with Moscow for the signature and ratification of the trade pact drawn up last June. . .. _ T .. Canadians in Britain The Canadian forces in Britain arc benefiting by the ever-increasing flow of new war material, and some of their armoured units are now equipped with the latest “ Churchill ’’ tanks.
