FIGHT ON FRONTIER
NAZI SCIENTISTS WITH TOMMY GUNS (Rec. 7 p.m.l TEHERAN, Feb. 8! Disguised as tribesmen, the worldfamous entomologist, Colonel Brandt, and the German botanist, Herr Odererfer, were captured on the IndiaAfghanistan frontier. Colonel Brandt was in possession of 12 different kinds of tribal costumes in addition to many Tommy guns. When- challenged Brandt and Odererfer opened fire with Tommy guns. Oderfer died later from wounds received jn the fight. Both men spent years in Iran, and left the country just before the British and Russian troops entered. They had been successfully stirring up trouble among the Iranian tribesmen and also actively agitating among the Indian and Afghan tribesmen.
