MAINLY FAIR Forecast for Otago.—The following is the official weather forecast for Otago, for the ensuing 24 hours, issued at 5 p.m. vesterday by the Meteorological Office in Wellington:— Moderate to fresh winds from a westerly quarter, with some further showers at first on the coast, but weather otherwise fair.; temperatures moderate. Further Outlook.—Mainly fair, except in the extreme west. Weather in Dunedin.—The weather in Dunedin was fine and sunny yesterday with a slight north-east breeze, but shortly after 4 p.m. the wind veered to the south-west and rain began to fall. The maximum temperature was 68 degrees. The barometer fell steadily to 29.66 inches (1004 millibars), but late in the afternoon began to rise again, the midnight reading being 29.85 inches (1011 millibars).
