DANGEROUS LIVING
WAR-TIME MENTALITY INCREASE IN ROAD ACCIDENTS (Rec. 7 p.m.) RUGBY, Nov 22. The war-time mentality of "living dangerously" accounts largely for a considerable increase in road accidents and deaths, according to a Ministry of War Transport report. During the first 12 months of war, it stated, 8358 persons were killed on the roads—about per cent, more than in each of the years from 1935 to 1938. During the second 12 months the number rose a further 20 per cent, to 10,075.
