Fraser's stable since the August meeting at Addington. U. Scott.— The imported horse U. Scott is in training again at Mr J. R. McKenzie’s private track. Walter Moore.— After being treated to a spell, Walter Moore lias rejoined R. J. Humphreys’s stable. Warfonn. —The field for the Selma Trot at Ashburton included Warfonn. who finished sixth, with Sandstone next. She is engaged in the Wellington Slakes, of £6OO, and was got by U. Scott from Erin’s Pointer, by Travis Axworthy—Erin's Logan, by’ Logan Pointer—lnnisfail, by Rothschild.

Tlmaru Trotting Club.— At a meeting of the committee of the Timaru Trotting Club it was mentioned that, the club now had a total of £1250 invested in Government war loan stock. On the motion of Messrs M. H. Richards and J. C. South, it was decided to hold the races on January 10, 1942. provided the Oamaru United Friendly Societies held its annual excursion to Timaru on that date. i During a short discussion on the question of going into committee, Mr A. B. Annand said that,

if there was going to be any adverse comment on another club, the matter should be taken in committee. The president (Mr E. MacDonald): “Hear! Hear! ” Mr G. E. Cartwright, on behalf of a Presentation Committee, solicited a donation to the subscription list in honour of Mr and Mrs W. Blay. The secretary (Mr H. H. Fraser) said that during his term as station master at Washdyke Mr Blay had been a great help to trainers and bad readily assisted the club on race days. A donation of £1 Is was voted to the presentation fund.
