GREEK HONOURS

SENIOR N.Z.E.F. OFFICERS AWARDED MILITARY CROSSES (P.A.) INVERCARGILL. Sept. 18. Word has been received in Inverthat five senior officers of the N.2..E.F. have been awarded the Greek Military Cross (first class) for distinguished service in the Greek campaign. Thev are Major-generalß. C. Frevberg. V.C.. Major-general E. Puttick. Brigadier J. Hargest, Brigadier R. Miles, and Brigadier H. E. Barrowclough. The decorations were conferred in Cairo on August 27 by the Greek Minister for War. The ribbon for the Greek Military .Cross is red and blue with a small gold crown in the centre.
