SECRET SESSION
HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES MR FRASER'S REPORT ON MISSION (0.C.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 17. Contrary to earlier expectations, the Prime Minister, Mr P. Fraser, did not address the House of Representatives in open session to-night. When it assembled- at 7.30 the House went immediately into secret session. The following official report was issued late to-night by authority of the Speaker, Mr W. E. Barnard:— " The Prime Minister reported to the House on his mission abroad. He reviewed the progress of the war, including the actions in Greece and Crete, and the international situation. He dealt particularly with his personal investigations in Australia, the Netherlands East Indies, Thailand. Singapore, India, Iraq. Egypt, the United Kingdom. Canada, and the United States. Questions of munitions, equipment, shipping, local defence, and man-power were also discussed. Twelve other speakers took part in the discussion before the House rose at 11.52 p.m."
