SOUTH DUNEDIN SING

The stage of the Mayfair Theatre was bedecked with spring flowers yesterday, when " Floral Day " was held in connection with the South Dunedin sing, the sum of over £2O being collected towards the purchase of soldiers' Christmas parcels. Mr Archie Jones, who is now associated with the sing, sang three more of his popular numbers, and others who contributed to a splendid supporting programme were the Le Gal instrumental trio and Mr R. Roper, with the musical saw. The sing was under the control of Mr R. Mcl«nzie, with Mr Ernie Fish as song leader and Miss Myrie Hunt as pianist. A list of the contributions received for yesterday's sing will be published on Saturday.
