WANTON TRESPASS

TO THE EDIXOB

Sir,—l have of late been pestered with able bodied men trespassing on my farm property with guns and dogs, disturbing my stock. Anzac Day, when I was myself absent from home to attend the Anzac service and p&rade, seems to have been a picnic day for men who are greedy after the rabbit skins, as they are worth about one shilling each. They show no respect for our comrades who were left behind in France. Again. I was away from home all. Sunday training with my unit in the Home Guaxd. On my return I found that the skin hunters had been out for another day’s wages. Why not make Home Guard training compulsory as some use might be made of these keen gun men if they were in the Home Guard?—Lam. etc., Taieri, ,Apl. 28. . Home Guard.
